Google揭曉2024台灣搜尋排行榜
"Earthquake" Tops Google Search Taiwan
We're heading into the end of the year.
As we say goodbye to 2024...
It's time to take a look back and see what everyone in Taiwan was curious
about.
Google just shared the top searches of the year.
This can tell us a lot.
It's like a window into what people cared about the most-from big events to
fun moments.
So, what was the number one search?
Drumroll, please… it was "earthquake"!
Turns out, earthquakes and typhoons were on everyone's minds this year.
"地震"和"颱風"是關鍵字榜首和第二名。
Maybe it's because they had such a big impact on our lives.
Taiwan had some big shakes and strong storms this year.
People searched to stay safe and find out what was happening.
But it wasn't all about the weather!
Politics was also a big deal.
Taiwan and the U.S. both had elections.
Phrases (詞) like "US presidential election" were trending.
And guess what else was super popular?
Concerts!
Searches for tickets went wild when Jay Chou and A-mei performed at the
Taipei Dome.
Everyone wanted to grab tickets
Sports were a hit too!
Taiwan's baseball team took the top spot at the WBSC Premier12.
And boxing champ Lin Yu-ting took gold at the Olympics.
Oh, and here's something funny...
A new meme called "M3" got super popular.
It means "You know what I'm saying", and people loved using it in jokes.
So, there you have it!
Taiwan's top searches were all about big events, fun concerts, sports, and
even memes.
What would you search for if you wanted to make the list?

烏賊骨海綿 去除微塑膠
Squid Bone Sponges to Fight Microplastics
By now, you all know about microplastics.
You know they're a big problem.
They are everywhere, all over the world...
From the deepest parts of the ocean, to the peak of Mount Everest...
They're in bottled water, in our food, and even in our bodies!
Microplastics are bad for the environment, bad for our health, and they are
really hard to get rid of (清除).
Scientists have come up with many ideas for cleaning up microplastics.
There's special boats, nets, even drones.
But now scientists have another idea.
Squid bones (烏賊軟骨)!
Scientists in China have made a special sponge (海綿).
It's made using cotton (棉花) and squid bones.
They take parts from the cotton and squid bones...
And make the sponge.
這個全生物質纖維海綿,適用廢棄烏賊骨的甲殼素和棉花製成。
Then the scientists tested it on many different types of water.
They used water from ponds, lakes, and oceans.
And they say the sponge cleaned up 99.9-percent of the microplastics in that
water.
The sponge also does not cost a lot of money to make.
But there are still some problems with this idea.
When microplastic falls into the water...
A lot of it sinks (沉) to the bottom.
The microplastic gets mixed into the dirt and rocks.
But we don't know for sure if the sponges can get microplastic down there.
And scientists need to figure out what to do with the sponges after they are
used.
The sponges are biodegradable (生物可降解的).
This means it breaks down naturally and doesn't harm the planet.
But what about the microplastic inside the sponge?
Scientists say we need to find safe ways to get rid of them for good.
And of course, the best solution is to use less plastic in the first place.
So remember, every time you recycle or use less plastic, you're helping the
planet stay clean and happy!
